Location
The Akaroa Recreation Ground is located along the Akaroa waterfront with main access off Rue Jolie, Rue Lavaud and Rue Brittan. Locally, the area as a whole is known as Jubilee Park.
Facilities
There are public toilets located on the corner of Rue Brittan.
Car parking is along Rue Brittan and there is an electric vehicle charging station available.
Home to three tennis courts, cricket pitches, football and touch rugby fields, a petanque court, skate ramps, a BMX track and plenty of green space for a picnic, the ground is well suited for community events and club sports.

The Akaroa Sports Pavilion is also located on site and can be booked for events and meetings.
Akaroa Boat Park, accessed off Rue Brittan, is located between the waterfront and the Recreation Ground.
The Boat Park area consists of boat parking and a ramp that can be used at high tide. Find out about use, tides, access and fees for boat ramps.
There is a secure boat compound in the north-west corner of the Boat Park area. This compound is very popular and there is a waiting list for sites.
Booking enquiries can be made through the Akaroa Customer Service Hub, 78 Rue Lavaud, Monday to Friday, 9am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 5pm.
Camping is allowed between the two bridges in the Boat Park area but it is limited to certified self-contained vehicles for two nights in any 30 day period. Check the freedom camping map for the exact locations.
