Details
We’re carrying out natural enhancement works to a section of Greens Stream adjacent to Riverstone Drive, Halswell. This involves restoring the stream banks, installing walking paths and footbridges, and creating habitat for native wildlife.
- Construction of a new footpath along the northern (true left) bank of Greens Stream, linking to the new shared path on Halswell Road.
- Construction of a new footpath along the southern (true right) bank, extending the existing haul road access.
- Installing two new pedestrian footbridges – one at the western end (connecting to Halswell Road) and one at the eastern end (connecting to Riverstone Drive).
- Installing two new access platforms on the southern bank.
- Reshaping approximately 110 metres of eroded stream banks in the western section.
- Substantial native planting and habitat enhancement throughout the site.
Traffic Impacts:
- Traffic management will be in place on Halswell Road from 9 March to 10 March 2026 while tree removal is carried out. At times stop/go will be in place which may cause short delays.
- A 30 km/h speed limit will be in place with traffic flow in both directions maintained.
Information for residents and neighbours:
- You may see us on site completing some enabling works before the main project begins.
- Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
- There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, particularly during earthworks, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
- Please look out for CORDE staff and follow the signage on site. If you need direction, please approach a staff member who will be able to assist.
We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
