What you need to know:

Enabling works will be completed in December 2025 with the construction fence around the work site expected to be installed in early January.

Works to be completed consist of:

o  Integration improvement for Ascot Hub (reduction of fence height, new path connection and gated access to QEII Park)

o  Site clearance and earthworks

o  Construction of new basketball court

o  Installation of  safety surface and play equipment

o  Installation of running tracks, park furniture and bike stands

o  Construction of new public toilet

There will be some disruption to the path network at QEII Park for the duration of the works. Temporary traffic management will be installed as part of the works to re-direct traffic (pedestrians and bikes).

We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.

Information for residents:

  • Access to properties for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will remain intact, however there will be times where deliveries to the work site may restrict access temporarily.
  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, and we’ll do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • The work will have no impact on any services such as water, electricity, telecommunications, and gas.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather. We’ll provide updates if there are changes to the planned works.

Ngā mihi nui, thanks for your patience while we complete these development works.
