What |
We are reconstructing the Charlotte Godley Wayside Cross on the Bridle Path. |
---|---|
Why |
The Wayside Cross fell in the 2011 Canterbury earthquake. The stone monument will be seismically strengthened and reinstated in its original location up the Bridle Path. |
Where |
Approximately half way up the Bridle Path, Heathcote Valley. |
When |
Works start here late February 2025 until early March 2025. Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm (weather/site condition dependent). |
Contact |
The contractor is Goldfield Stone. Phone Rohan Morgan on 021 140 4118, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. Please advise if you have specific access requirements which could be affected during this process. |
The Bridle Path will remain open throughout the duration of the works.
Temporary site fencing and signs will be in place to help direct the public around the site. There may be some minor disruptions at times.
There will be some construction plant and vehicle movements taking place during the day. Spotters will be on site during these times to safely assist pedestrians around the construction zone.
There may be increased noise during these works.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
