These areas are serviced by gravity wastewater pipes which have reached their capacity and where the risk of wastewater overflows is high. There is not enough funding allocated in the Long Term Plan to upgrade all these pipes in the short-term.
In these areas, additional connections to Council's wastewater network need to meet specific requirements so that the risk of manhole overflows during storm events can be managed.
