About 430 red-zoned properties in the Port Hills are scattered between Sumner Beach and Diamond Harbour.
There are approximately 430 red-zoned properties in the Port Hills between Sumner and Diamond Harbour. The Christchurch City Council took over the management and ownership of the land from Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) on 31 May 2021.
Our responsibilities for the land includes maintenance, plant and animal pest management, security, traffic management, communications and land access.
