Description

Follow the Heathcote River from the base of the Port Hills all the way out to the sea. The river meanders through numerous parks and reserves making it an attractive walk or ride through the eastern city.

Create a walk out of your favourite or local section or set a challenge to complete the entire length.

Many sections are shared use so watch out for cyclists who might be sharing the path with you.

A couple of areas require you to walk on grass verge next to quiet roads, do take care and watch out for traffic in these sections.
