This walk explores the dune landscape of New Brighton and Spencer Park. The track follows the crest of the dune and has impressive views. There are no roads to cross and an excellent children's playground at Broad Park.

This extensive track spans from Southshore Spit to Spencer Park Surf Club, following a trail in the dune crest and winding through the forest by Spencer Park and Bottle Lake. For a shorter walk, start at Broad Park where there is plenty of parking as well as toilets and a playground. Head north along the well-made track that climbs into the dunes and offers fine views of the shoreline. Head through winding tree-lined trails as you near Spencer Park and finish at the Spencer Park Surf Club. Alternatively, head south from Broad Park and explore the New Brighton waterfront with its cafes and pier. Continue along the dune trail occasionally walking on the beach until arriving at Southshore Spit, a wonderful estuary and wildlife reserve. |
