Polyethylene (PE) welders

Council-approved PE welders.

The Council-approved PE welder register was established to reduce the potential for defective polyethylene (PE) welds and joints and the corresponding decrease in asset life by ensuring that welders are competent and familiar with Council standards.

Polyethylene (PE) welders listed on the approved PE welder register [PDF, 21 KB] are considered suitably qualified and experienced to undertake electrofusion and butt joint polyethylene pipe welding for projects on Council-owned assets or assets to be vested in Council.

All welding needs to conform to the standards set out in the Council's specifications and all materials used must be approved by Council.
