The purpose of the polyethylene (PE) pressure tester register is to reduce the potential for defective PE pipe being installed and the corresponding decrease in asset life by ensuring that PE pipe is tested in accordance with Council standards.
Polyethylene (PE) testers listed on the Approved PE Tester Register [PDF 15KB] are considered suitably qualified and experienced to undertake polyethylene pipe testing for projects on Council owned assets or assets to be vested in Council.
Council's standards and requirements in respect to PE pressure testing are outlined in the respective chapters of the Construction Standard Specifications (CSS).
